Scammer Badge
One of the hardest things for us to do is to label a shop with a Scammer Badge. Not just because it takes a lot of time to investigate and confirm the allegations posted by customers but that in spite of our efforts, another person has fallen victim to online fraud. We would want the listed online scammer in our blog to be as close to zero as possible and that everyone practice honest business principles. But since con artist are not absent in the real world, we will do our best to inform the public to be extremely cautious when dealing with these shops.

Before we label a shop with a Scammer Badge, we go through a lengthy process. Please note that in all these steps, we presume the seller innocent until a court will prove him guilty of the allegations. First, we gather all verifiable allegations against the shop/seller; this will include digital copies of proof of transaction and all communications leading to the transaction. Next we contact the seller and present to the seller all the allegations against him and the evidence proving the allegations.

From here there are normally two results, one positive and the other negative. One result of mediations is that we find the issue to be just a misunderstanding which the seller and customer are willing to find a settlement for. This is a great thing and we commend both the seller and customer for their cooperation. Another result is when the seller blocks or avoids communication and denies all provable allegations. We still give the seller a couple of weeks to respond after which we will have to label the shop with the Scammer Badge to alert the public that there have been substantial allegations against the shop and that people need to be cautious when buying products from it.

As much as possible we don’t want to resort to this last measure because it does not provide a settlement for both parties. However to prevent more fraud, we will post a profile of the shop including all verifiable allegations.

If you've been a victim of Online Shopping Fraud please report this incident to us so we can add the alleged scammers to our list. Send us your IG/FB account, the shop's account, screenshots of the conversations, proof of payment and other forms of evidence of the transaction.

By working together, we can make Online Shopping Safe and Fun in the Philippines!
